Recipe generator

My recent thoughts have centered around the idea of food and recipes.
The problem I wish to solve is one that most people face a commodity of modern life… what to cook for dinner/lunch or any occasion, and how to keep a diet healthy.
My idea is to get the user to enter some main ingredients that they already have in their fridge/cupboard/spice rack. Their number of ingredients will not be too limited, and the text fields will predict what they type…all based graphically within a screen shot of a kitchen, to give the style of the site an informal feel.
Once all ingredients are chosen, a database full of tagged recipes will provide relevant meal suggestions. For instance if eggs, peppers, pasta, cream, cheese, tomatoes and milk the suggestions could range from a ‘Pepper Omlette’ to a ‘Spaghetti Carbonara’. It’s a personalized recipe generator to fit a modern lifestyle.
As far as I am aware, this idea has not been generated in any great detail, so it has the potential to an original tool… I hope!
